# How to add a product

Add a product to control an item sold, used or tracked by your operation.

## Before you start
- Define the product name.
- Have category, unit, cost price and sale price when applicable.
- Add the supplier first if you want to link it.

## 🚀 Step by step
1. Open **Products**.
2. Click **Add Product**.
3. In identification, fill in **Product Name**.
4. Add **Category**, **Unit**, **SKU** and **Barcode** when used.
5. In prices, fill in **Cost Price** and **Sale Price**.
6. In stock, add **Current Stock**, **Minimum Stock** and **Maximum Stock**.
7. Select the **Supplier**, if there is one.
8. Keep the product **Active** when it should be available.
9. Save the record.

## ✅ Expected result
The product appears in the list and is available according to its status.
