How to add a breed

✅ Use this guide when the breed is not available in the PetHub list yet.

Before you start

You need the breed name, species, size and coat type. Weight is optional.

Step by step

1. Go to Registrations.
2. Open Breeds.
3. Click Add breed.
4. Fill in Name.
5. Choose Species, Size and Coat type.
6. If your business uses this information, fill in Minimum weight and Maximum weight.
7. Click Save.

Expected result

The new breed appears in the list and can be used in pet records.

💡 Tip: if the breed already exists under another name, edit the existing record instead of creating another one.
