How to edit or stop using a breed

🧹 When a breed has already been used in pet records, it is usually safer to deactivate it than delete it.

When to edit

Edit a breed to fix name, species, size, coat type or weight.

Step by step

1. Go to Registrations.
2. Open Breeds.
3. Search for the breed by name.
4. In the breed row, open Actions.
5. Make the change you need.
6. Click Save.

When to deactivate

Deactivate when the breed should not be used in new records but should stay in history.

If you cannot find it

Clear the search, change the filter to All, and check whether the name was written another way.
