What it is for The breed is used in the pet record. It helps your team find and organize pets more easily. Where to access it 1. Click Registrations in the side menu. 2. Open Breeds. 3. You will see Registered breeds. What to look for - Use Search by breed name to find a breed. - Use Active, All or Inactive to filter the list. - Use Add breed when the breed does not exist yet. Before you start You need the breed name, species, size and coat type. Weight is optional. Step by step 1. Go to Registrations. 2. Open Breeds. 3. Click Add breed. 4. Fill in Name. 5. Choose Species, Size and Coat type. 6. If your business uses this information, fill in Minimum weight and Maximum weight. 7. Click Save. Expected result The new breed appears in the list and can be used in pet records. 💡 Tip: if the breed already exists under another name, edit the existing record instead of creating another one. How to edit or stop using a breed Real PetHub screen showing the breed list 🧹 When a breed has already been used in pet records, it is usually safer to deactivate it than delete it. When to edit Edit a breed to fix name, species, size, coat type or weight. Step by step 1. Go to Registrations. 2. Open Breeds. 3. Search for the breed by name. 4. In the breed row, open Actions. 5. Make the change you need. 6. Click Save. When to deactivate Deactivate when the breed should not be used in new records but should stay in history. If you cannot find it Clear the search, change the filter to All, and check whether the name was written another way. See also How to add a breed
