How to edit or deactivate a medication

When a medication should not be used in new records, deactivating it is usually safer than deleting it.

When to edit

Edit to correct name, type, supplier or coverage days.

Step by step

1. Go to Registrations.
2. Open Medications.
3. Search for the medication by name.
4. Open Actions in the medication row.
5. Choose the edit option.
6. Save the changes.

When to deactivate

Deactivate when the medication should stay in history but should not be used in new records.
